(c) What is meant by ‘Sanskritization’?

Ans:- Sanskritisation refers to the process by which lower caste groups in India try to move upward by adopting the customs, rituals and lifestyles of higher (usually Brahmin) castes.

(d) Define Social Inequality.

Ans:- Social inequality is the unequal distribution of resources and opportunities among individuals or groups based on characteristics such as class, gender, ethnicity or caste.

Ans:- Two challenges of cultural diversity in India are:-

(i) Communalism: Social tension and conflict between religious or cultural groups.
