India's New Economic Policy, 1991.

Economic Policy, 1991:-
(i) Liberalization: Reduction of government controls and
restrictions on the private sector.
(ii) Privatization: Transfer of ownership, management,
and control of public sector enterprises to the private sector.
(b) Write any two limitations of
planning.
Ans:- Limitations of planning:-
(i) Planning leads to rigidity: A pre-decided plan creates a rigid
framework, leaving little room for managers to adapt to unforeseen changes.
(ii) Planning may not work in a
dynamic environment:
Since the business environment is continuously changing (economic, political,
social), static plans often fail.
(c) Mention any two importances of
management.
Ans:- Importances of management:-
(i) Achieving group goals: It integrates individual efforts
into a coordinated team effort to achieve predetermined organizational
objectives efficiently.
(ii) Increases efficiency: It optimizes the utilization of
resources (men, material, money, machinery) to minimize costs and maximize
productivity.
(d) Write any two responsibilities of
consumer.
Ans:- Responsibilities of consumer:-
(i) Being aware: Asking for information about the
quality, quantity, price, and ingredients of products before making a purchase.
(ii) Insisting on standardized
products: Looking
for quality certification marks such as ISI, Agmark, Hallmark, or FPO while
buying goods and services.
(e) Mention any two importances of
financial planning.
Ans:- Importances of financial
planning:-
(i) Ensures smooth operations: It helps in ensuring the
availability of adequate funds at the right time, preventing shortages or idle
cash surpluses.
(ii) Helps in facing uncertainties: It prepares the firm to handle
sudden business shocks, contingencies, and risks by maintaining appropriate
financial buffers.

financial management.
Ans:- Objectives of financial
management:-
(i) Wealth maximization: To maximize the market value of
equity shares or the net present value of the firm for its shareholders.
