1. (a) Who introduced the concept of ‘differential price-rate-wage system’? 1

Ans:- F. W. Taylor.

(b) Under which environmental factor does fiscal policy fall? 1

Ans:- Economic Environment.

(c) Write a difference between policy and procedure. 1

Ans:- Policies: Policies are the guide to decision making.

Process: Processes are guides to action.

(d) What is an informal organization? 1

Ans:- Informal organization refers to the relationship between people in an organization that is not based on a planned structure for carrying out the activity. It is generally based on personal perspective; Prefer bias and so on. People work here not on the basis of procedures and regulations but on the basis of some taste, culture etc. Informal organization is not created, but they appear naturally in the formal organization.

(e) What is Orientation?   1

Ans:- Working capital can be negative if current liabilities exceed current assets.

(f) Who proposed the “Need Theory” of motivation?   1

Ans:- A. H. Maslow.

(g) Can working capital become negative?   1

Ans:- It is a process of introducing new employees to the company and assimilating them with its policies, benefits and culture.

(h) What is SEBI?  1

Ans:- SEBI short for Securities and Exchange Board of India is often new because of its supervisory and regulatory role on the functioning of the stock exchange spread across the country.

2. What is Trade Mark? 2

Ans:- It refers to a brand name that is registered with the government under the Trade Marks Act.

3. Write the meaning of Management Audit.  2

Ans:- A management audit is an independent and systematic analysis and evaluation of a company's overall activities and performance. It is a valuable tool that is used to determine a company's efficiency, operations, achievements and achievements. The primary objective of a management audit is to identify errors in management activities and suggest possible changes. It guides the management to manage the operations most effectively and productively.

4. Write two rights of a consumer.  2

Ans:- The rights of the consumers are given below:

(i) Right to choose: The consumer has the right to choose from the available goods. The right will be exercised only when a variety of goods are available.

(ii) Right against Exploitation: Consumers have a right against exploitation by unfair trade practices, false and misleading advertisements.

5. What are two important functions of top-level management?   2

Ans:- Top level management has two functions –

(i) It formulates strategic plans and policies for the enterprise.

(ii) It appoints officers for the middle level.

6. What is meant by ‘Unity of Command’?  2

Ans:- It implies that a subordinate should receive orders and instructions from a boss only.

7. How does social environment influence the working of a business?    3

Ans:- The social and technological environment affect the functioning of business in the following ways:

(i) Social Environment: Social factors exert immense influence on the non-economic environment of business. Social environment includes the attitudes of the people, cultural heritage, beliefs and customs of the people, education system, trade unions etc.

(ii) Technological environment: It includes factors related to scientific improvement and innovation which provide new methods and techniques of production and conduct of business.

8. Write three limitations of planning.    3

Ans:- There are some limitations in the planning process.

They are:

(i) Depends on forecast: It is based on anticipated fiscal and industrial policies. Any change in the policies renders the scheme ineffective.

(ii) Expensive Process: A lot of expenditure is involved in planning. The expenditure on the scheme should not exceed the expected benefit from the scheme.

(iii) Time consuming strategy: The planning process takes a lot of time from the collection of data to the suggestion of the best alternatives.

9. Outline three merits of divisional organizational structure.  3

Ans:- Some of the advantages of divisional organization are given below:

(i) Product specialization helps in the development of various skills in the departmental head and thus prepares him for higher positions.

(ii) It is easy to organize departments on the basis of functions and sub-functions.

(iii) I help in training specialist managers rather than general manager.

Write three merits of internal recruitment.   3

Ans:- (i) Employees are motivated to improve their performance.

(ii) The morale of the employees has increased.

(iii) Due to the way of promotion industrial peace is maintained in the enterprise.
